The Iowa State Steel Bridge Team placed second at the Midwest regional competition on March 1st.
Once again, we won the Aesthetics portion of the competition by a landslide.
| The ISU Steel Bridge Team is proud to be one of the few schools where the students design and fabricate the bridge completely by themselves. During the fall semester, the team spends time in the lab learning how to use all of the tools and equipment. The returning members teach the new members how to correctly cut, grind, and weld. Since all students know how to use the tools everyone is able to help with the fabrication. |

In March 2008, the team will travel to the University of Iowa to compete in the regional competition. The national competition will be held in Gainesville, Florida. We are looking forward to competing with this year’s bridge. |
