Our Crest

Alpha Sigma Kappa -- Women in Technical Studies is a social sorority for women studying technical majors. Our sorority is committed to achieving academic goals, promoting women in technical fields, improving leadership abilities, and encouraging friendship.

Our Greek Letters, AΣK, represent the social aspect of our sorority. We are active members of Iowa State University's Greek Community. We participate in Homecoming and Greek Week events each year and we are a member of the Collegiate Panhellenic Council. We have at least one philanthropic event each semester and a variety of social events throughout the year.

The "Women in Technical Studies" in our name represents our focus on academics and learning. In order to become a member, you must have a technical major (see list of accepted majors below). Because we are all technical majors, we take similar courses and are available to offer each other academic support. Each semester we set personal academic goals and we strive and encourage each other to achieve these goals.
