"No matter the letter, we're all Greek together."

The members of Alpha Sigma Kappa -- Women in Technical Studies are active in the Iowa State University Greek Community throughout the entire year. In the fall we are paired with other Greek fraternities and sororities and we compete against other pairings in various Homecoming activities. These traditional activities include the Blood Drive, a variety of athletic tournaments, philanthropic events, and Yell Like Hell. Yell Like Hell is a competition in which the pairings dress up in Iowa State Cardinal Red and Gold and perform chants and songs promoting Iowa State pride.

In the spring we anxiously prepare for Greek Week. Greek Week is a celebration that the entire Iowa State University Greek Community looks forward to all year. Greek Week is our chance to celebrate our common bond of fraternal friendship with the other fraternities and sororities at Iowa State University. We spend the entire week competing in tournaments, creating lawn displays, spending time at block parties, singing and dancing our way through Lip Sync, and cheering on our pairings at the Greek Olymics. After the Greek Olympics, the Polor Bear Plunge is held, where members of the Greek Community jump into Lake Laverne to raise money for Special Olymics. Greek Week concludes with Vespers, a ceremony celebrating and recognizing leadership within the Greek Community.

When we're not busy preparing for Homecoming or Greek Week, the women of Alpha Sigma Kappa are staying connected with the Greek Community by attending other fraternities' and sororities' philanthropic and social events. We also meet weekly with the sororities in the Collegiate Panhellenic Council.
