  Friday night social

The Iowa State University (ISU) Ballroom Dance Club hosts free Friday-night dance practices and socials that are open to everyone.  Our music is mostly big band with modern music used for the swing and fox trot.  Singles are welcome, and you don't have to have a partner.

Dress is casual; however, indoor-type shoes or socks must be worn on the studio floor.  The practices are held on the ISU Campus in the Forker Building, studio 196 (Toman Studio), from 7:30-9:45pm on most Friday evenings during fall and spring semesters when ISU is in session.

The exceptions to our regular weekly meetings:

Jan 11
No meeting.

Jan 18
Ballroom socials resume after the semester break.

Over spring break:
March 21:  Meeting is in the Oak Room of the ISU Memorial Union.

April 12:  We'll have regular practice, but we're moving to Gym 184 in Forker instead.  In addition, the Forker Building parking lot maybe blocked off for VEISHEA.  If you tell the guards that you'll remove your car by 10:30pm, they'll let you by.  You can also park in the Rec Center toll lot.  Avoid driving through central campus; there will be barricades.

Semester break:
May 9,16:  Meetings in the Gallery Room of the ISU Memorial Union.

May 23:  Meeting in the Pioneer Room of the ISU Memorial Union.

May 30:  No meeting.

June-Aug:  Summer Friday socials will be in the ISU Memorial Union.  Check your e-mail early June for a complete schedule.
