Friday Night Social
Fall 2009 Dance Social Schedule
The ISU Ballroom Dance Club hosts free Friday-night dance practices and socials that are open to everyone. Our music is mostly big band with modern music used for the swing and foxtrot. Singles are welcome, and you don't have to have a partner.
Dress is casual; however, indoor-type shoes or socks must be worn on the studio floor. The practices are held on the ISU Campus in the Forker Building, studio 196 (Toman Studio), from 7:30-9:45pm on most Friday evenings during fall and spring semesters when ISU is in session.
The exceptions to our regular weekly meetings:
August 21,28: No social/practice.
September 4,11: Dance practice meets in the Gallery Room of the ISU Memorial Union.
September 18: Dance practice meets in the Pioneer Room of the ISU Memorial Union.
September 25: It's now confirmed. Meetings will resume in studio 196 of the Forker Building; fall schedule begins.
Oct 30: Halloween dance party; treats without the tricks included. Usual time and place. Costumes optional.
Nov 27: Over Thanksgiving break, dance practice will meet in the Gallery Room of the ISU Memorial Union.
Dec 11: Christmas party with goodies. No change in time or place.
Dec 18: Dance practice meets in the Gallery Room of the ISU Memorial Union.
Dec 25 thru Jan 8: No practice over the university Christmas recess. Practice resumes January 15, 2010.
