11/13/06 >> Iowa State Baseball's 2007 Spring Schedule has been released, please click here to see it.

4/6/06 >> Iowa State was ranked 33rd in the nation in the NCBA's national rankings for Week 41 (Apr 3-Apr 9). This is ISU's first ever ranking in the polls.

4/3/06 >> Matt Guba was named Central Plains North Conference Player of the Week for the weekend of April 1st. Matt went 4 for 6 with a double and a triple while driving in 4 runs in ISU's rain shortened series vs South Dakota.

4/2/06 >> The final two games of the series vs South Dakota, scheduled for Sunday April 2nd, have been cancelled due to rain. The conference game will be rescheduled in the near future.

3/29/06 >> Shane Hansmeier was named the NCBA's National Pitcher of the Week for the weekend of March 25th and 26th. Shane threw 7 scoreless innings of relief in the 14 inning marathon vs Northern Iowa. He gave up 2 hits, one walk, and no runs to earn the victory.

3/28/06 >> Andrew Vogel was named Central Plains North Conference Player of the Week for the weekend of March 25th and 26th. Andrew was 6 for 8 with 1 HR, 1 2B, 2 HBP, 1 BB, and 8 RBI. In the 14-inning game one vs UNI, he hit a bases clearing double in the top of the 7th to tie, then 7 innings later had the eventual game winning hit.

3/28/06 >> Shane Hansmeier was named Central Plains North Conference Pitcher of the Week for the weekend of March 25th and 26th.

3/27/06 >> ISU swept Northern Iowa on March 25th & 26th to start the season 3-0, putting them in first place in the conference for the first time since 2004.

3/4/06 >> The series scheduled for march 3rd and 4th @ Kansas was cancelled due to excessive rain. The games will not be made up.
