Q. Can I volunteer at the Blood Drive?

A. Yes! Take a look at the Volunteer Info page and contact one of the coordinators to sign up for a time slot.

Q. When is the ISU Spring Blood Drive?

A. Monday, March 31st, through Thursday, April 3rd, 2008.

Q. Where do I go to donate at the ISU Spring Blood Drive?

A. The Great Hall of the Memorial Union (next to the hotel desk). A map is available here.

Q. How do I get involved in the ISU Blood Drive?

A. Email the current Co-Directors (see Contacts). They will have applications available for the next semester's ISU BLood Drive Executive Committee and Aide positions following Blood Drive later this semester.

Q. How often does ISU hold a blood drive?

A. ISU holds a Fall Blood Drive (typically in late October to mid-November) and a Spring Blood drive (typically just before Spring Break).

Q. How do I know if my class is offering extra credit for donating blood or volunteering?

A. Check the Extra Credit page on this site. There will also be a binder with pages for each class at the door when you leave the Great Hall after donating/volunteering.

Q. Can I get extra credit for class if I am not able to donate blood or if I am deferred?

A. Yes! All presenting donors will receive extra credit. Students may also volunteer their time to other aspects related to the success of the blood drive such as: registration, recruitment, canteen volunteer, escort etc.  Check with the Blood Drive Committee when you come to the Great Hall to volunteer for details on the amount of time necessary for volunteering for this semester.

Q. How do I know who to ask questions of at the blood drive?

A. Blood Drive's Executive Committee as well as the aides will be in specific t-shirts with "Exec" or "Aide" on the back of their shirt. You can approach them and ask questions at any time during the blood drive.
