Hey guys, here's the meeting notes from last night!

1. Website is up and running: http://www.stuorg.iastate.edu/billiards/
2. General Etiquette Rules/Guidelines we went over:
a. Don’t lay cues horizontally over the table – cam warp them more
b. No food or drink the tables
c. If you can’t reach a ball – don’t sit on the table, use a mechanical bridge (you’ll be more likely to make it as well!)
d. Try not to use hand powder – if you do, there’s no need to “over powder” – it makes a huge mess!
e. When finished, return everything - put things back in their space!
f. Don’t put cue over your shoulders!
g. Don’t place chalk upside down on the tables
h. Don’t chalk on your opponent’s turn
i. Don’t reach for rack or in pockets while opponent is shooting the last ball
j. Don’t stand in opponent’s line of view
k. In tournaments, shake hands

3. David went over some fundamentals to work for consistency:
a. Stance (solid, comfortable)
b. Bridge (solid, level as possible)
c. Grip (90 degree angle or maybe less in arm)
d. Stroke (line up to tip to contact point, shoot straight through and follow through 4-6”, swing from elbow)
If you have any questions about the etiquette, feel free to ask him, Amber, or Jessica!

4. There is tournament Wednesday October 6 (next Wednesday) during normal club meeting time.
