2.      A player can only play in one team only. A player can play as a substitute fielder for another team, but shall not bowl, bat or keep for the team.

3.      FORMAT: Each team will play against every other team, and the top two teams will qualify for the finals. In case of a tie, first the head-to-head result of that match will be considered, then the Net Run Rate will be used. If that is also the same the coin toss will take place.

4.  POINTS: +3 for win, 0 for loss.

5.      The balls used will be taped tennis balls.

6.      Time of play will be assigned to all the teams. Teams not showing up on-time for the game will be considered forfeit. If both teams do not show up it will be an abandoned match. 7 players per team are required for the match to be held.

RULES OF THE GAME

1.      Umpires will be chosen from non-playing teams. Please be aware they are volunteering for making the tournament a success.

2.      Umpire's decision will be final and binding. A player making continuous negative comments or remarks about the umpire ON THE FIELD will be made inactive for 5 OVERS (Decision will be made by the two umpires on the field). That player cannot be substituted for that duration. (Please note that it is fine to question the decision, however comments on the umpires such as “biased-umpiring” or personal remarks judging the umpire will be penalized).

3.      There are no runs for leg-byes. As a result there will be no run-outs if players are running on a leg-bye. A player can be stumped however.

4.      No LBW.

5.      Run-outs are possible (except when it is a leg-bye).

6.      One run is awarded for a no-ball and a wide.

7.      No-ball: Full toss balls above waist height or bouncer above shoulder height for batsman in his normal stance AT THE CREASE is a no ball (Should a player step out from his normal guard at crease, it will not be a no ball). Over-stepping the popping crease is a no-ball. One bouncer per over is allowed.

8.      The last person in the team will not be allowed to bat if everyone else is OUT. (Last man batting "NOT" allowed)

9.      Over-throw runs are counted.

10. There will be 15 OVERS per side. A bowler can bowl a maximum of 4 OVERS. The team will have to finish its quota in one hour. A reduction of the total score or reduction of OVERS per 5 extra minutes will be carried out. Delay of the game will be assessed by umpires before carrying out this penalty. The final will be 20 overs a side. A bowler can bowl a maximum of 5 OVERS.

11. The winning team will be awarded 3 points for victory and the losing team will get 0 points. If a game is abandoned (both teams don’t show up) no points will be awarded to either teams. The teams in rain abandoned matches will get 1 point each.

12. All scores will be noted and posted on this website.

13. If a bowler is found to throw (chuck) the bowl then he will be warned and the bowl will be ruled as a no-ball. On the second instance the bowler will not be allowed to continue to bowl and the captain will have to replace him. The umpire will have supreme authority over this decision and will not be argued against.
