Each
team shall comprise of 10 players, with 12 overs a side and max
3 overs per bowler.

One
person can only play for one team. Individual
players who are already not in any team can join the tournament;
the organizing committee will form teams from the players
who are not in any team after the last date of submitting
teams.

Teams
will we divided into pools according to the number of
participating teams.

Teams
in a pool will play against each other. Two top teams from each
pool will qualify for the SEMIFINALS.

If
there is tie in a group for the top spot based on the points
scored, then the net run-rate will be used to choose the top
team.

Run Rate will be calculated using the standard rule, click here
to read the procedure.

Rain
Interrupted Matches: We will try to reschedule the match or have
in rec. center; if not possible then the match will be
considered as ABANDONED and points will be shared.

Each
win in pool matches will get 4 points and loss will get 0 point.

The
balls used will be taped soft tennis balls.
-
Time
of play will be assigned to all the teams. If 7 out of 10
players of the team do not reach the play ground within 7
minutes of the specified time, they will be docked one over for
every 7 minutes. And after 30min match will be forfeited and the
full points will be awarded to opponent team. This rule is into
effect due to the time constraints. If both the teams do not
have 7 players in the field then the match will be abandoned and
no point will be awarded.

Teams
will have to finish bowling in 55 min. In case of delay overs
may be deducted by umpires.

Last
man batting will not be allowed and a runner will be required at
the other end.

In
case of a tie the match, (A). The team losing less number of wickets (B)
If number of wickets is the same, then the team with higher run rate
in that match will win.

Umpire's
decision will be final and binding
-
There
are no
runs for leg-byes. As a result there will be no
run-outs if players are running on a leg-bye. A player can be
stumped however. The is no LBW.

Run-outs
are possible when it is not a leg bye.

Rules
for Wides, No balls, Byes and Overthrows are same as for
International cricket. One bouncer per over is allowed.
Tentative timings are:
9 AM -5 PM - Saturday
9 AM -5 PM - Sunday
Each match will take approximately 2 hour and final schedule will be
decided based upon the teams entries.
The general structure of the tournament is as follows:
10 players per team
12 overs per side
3 overs maximum for bowlers, hence a minimum of 4 bowlers
Location: New cricket pitch at Towers Intramural Field (see Map
for location and directions).
The ANNUAL Membership fee: (eligible to play all tournaments
and holds valid from April, 2005 - March, 2006)

The team captain is requested to submit the team roster along
with details of the player and also the entry fee for the whole team.
