This is the first week of the 2012-2013 school year and go club is back in session! Our first meeting will be in the commons area in the MU from noon to 4. We will be discussing meeting times for the future, what we want out of the year, and hopefully playing a little go! Hope to see you there!

Right now we currently do not have our old room. Until I get us a new room to meet, our temporary meeting place will be somewhere in the Commons area (we try to make ourselves visible, but you may have to wander around to find us). We’ll post an update when we get a new room!
Our December tournament was a big success with 13 players showing up and competing from 19 kyu to 5 Dan! Hope to see you all next semester! Club will officially resume the first Saturday of spring semester!

To all of our new members, welcome to the go club!
This week, we will be cancelling our regular meeting due to the Iowa-Iowa State football game, so our next club meeting is scheduled for September 17th. In the future, we plan to not cancel for games, but because of the timing and the fact that it is one of our biggest rivalries, we’re gonna go ahead and postpone. Come prepared to learn or play go! There’s no need to bring anything, though if you feel like bringing your own set, that’s great!
The Cyclone Go club will be in the Great Hall at the Memorial Union for Club Fest between 11am and 4pm (Sep 7th). We’re at Booth # 99. Come on over and play some go!
The first meeting was a complete success! Thanks to everyone who showed up! With a range of skills from absolute beginner all the way to 5 dan, this is sure to be a fantastic semester of Go!
