Congratulations on taking the first step towards becoming a part of the Iowa State University family. Making the transition from high school or transferring in from another University/College can be a difficult one. Delta Upsilon is there to help you along the way. Upon joining the Iowa State University Greek system you immediately have joined one of the strongest and best Greek systems in the U.S. Many men over the year have chosen to join Delta Upsilon to further themselves. It is our goal to make you a better man. It’s not only our goal, but it’s the foundation of our four founding principles. Promotion of Friendship. Development of Character. Advancement of Justice. Diffusion of Liberal Culture. Through Delta Upsilon you can enhance your time at Iowa State through activities such as Greek Week, and Homecoming. Opportunities to meet a variety of people and interact with others on a daily basis help to poise members for life outside of the University. Leadership opportunities exist within the house, as well as outside. Taking on positions such as President or Treasurer not only give you the opportunity to experience added responsibility but could perhaps prepare you for obstacles that may arise in your chosen occupation. We have a scholarship program that consists of daily study hours, group tutoring, and reward based incentives for good grades. We do spend plenty of time socializing. Each semester we hold a house party, and in the spring we hold a formal, which is allows a time for us to dress up with our dates.
