Possible events for the future:
- Talks by ISU professors on their research interests/fields of specialization
- Meetings with visiting lecturers
- "Book club" - ideas tossed about have been The Creature from Jekyll Island, Freakonomics, and classic texts
from the likes of Smith, Ricardo, Marx, etc.
- Discussions about hot economic topics

listen to jazz, and eat lots of BBQ.

- Tues, Sept 20: Dr Joydeep Bhattacharya gave a talk on life as an economist in academia.
- Tues, Oct 4: Dr Barry Falk discussed graduate school in economics.
- Tues, Oct 18: Dr Harvey Lapan discussed his time working as an economist in the US government.
- Tues, Nov 8: Talk by Dr Justin Tobias on causal variables.
- Tues, Nov 29: Lecture on the role of an economist in the private sector by a member of the board
of trustees of a financial company.
- December: End-of-semester party involving Chinese food and gifts.

- Christmas party (sans religion) - an econ club tradition
