Engineers for a Sustainable
World (ESW) at ISU is part of a national organization that mobilizes
engineering students and professionals through global service projects
that improve the quality of life in developing countries. With our
partners at ISU and on the ground in Uganda, ESW members have worked on
several sustainable development projects such as household energy and
water harvesting (students pictured here are helping build a biogas
digester they designed to provide energy for lighting). Through
initiatives like the Drive Not To Drive and carbon footprint awareness,
ESW also works to promote global sustainability and bring attention to
resource consumption here in the US.
