When the Welch Avenue scene gets a little tired, sometimes an upscale bar scene is just what the bartender ordered. Brewer’s, 2704 Stange Road, is classy enough for older Ames residents, but trendy enough to entertain the college crowd. With a wide selection of international beers and top shelf liquors, Brewer’s offers a variety of beverages that most bars in town just cant compete. Our favorite? Brazil’s Xingu beer paired with a nice pork loin. It sure beats the gyro stand.
