dem Fall der Mauer on Monday! (11/7/09)
The Iowa State German Club is hosting a Fall of the Berlin Wall Simulation. It will be in front of Parks Library, Monday, November 9th from 9 AM to 4 PM to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall. Come any time during the day to graffiti the wall and enjoy some hot apple cider or hot cocoa, then come back at 4 PM to tear the Wall down!You can download an informational brochure on the Berlin Wall here: Informational Brochure

Care Packages for the Iowa National Guard (11/6/09)
We are collecting for care packages to be sent to Iowa National Guard units serving in Iraq. We will be collecting items in a box in 3102 Pearson (behind the secretary's desk) from now until November 17th. The items requested include:Flavor packets for water (Kool-Aid, Iced Tea, etc)
Candies: Starburst, gummy bears, candy canes, M&Ms, Tootsie Rolls
Rice krispie treats, cookies (store-bought, only)
Writing tablets, pens, envelopes
Gum, mints (Altoids, Mentos, etc) - no "rattling" mints, please
Hot chocolate
Body wash (men & women)
Hand sanitizer
Moisturizing lotion (unscented)
Unscented baby wipes
Toothpaste, floss
Word puzzle books
Coffee
Popcorn
Cheese/cracker packs
Holiday cards, signed by the group
*We are not to send pork products or homemade food
