Our Spring 2008 Service Trip is in Biloxi, MS.

Trip Dates: March 15-22nd, 2008

We will be volunteering with Hands On Gulf Coast in Biloxi, MS:

 

In Biloxi, we will be staying at the Beauvoir Methodist Church:

 

What we will be doing in Biloxi:

Typical projects areas: construction, youth development, park restoration, work with the Salvation Army, and the Humane Society.

A Typical work day with Hands On in Biloxi:

  • 5:30 am - Wake up if you are cooking breakfast

  • 7:00 am - Lights on, volunteers awake, and breakfast is served

  • 8:00 am - Crews start assembling and leaving for the day's work

  • Noon: Lunchtime

  • 4:00 pm - Start returning to base

  • 6:30 pm - Dinner is served!

  • 7:00 pm - Nightly dinner meeting - a time to welcome newcomers, recount the day's projects and accomplishments, and say goodbye to those who are leaving

  • 10:00 pm- Lights out and all quiet inside
