The Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF) is the official campus ministry effort of several canonical Orthodox jurisdictions in the U.S. It is a Pan-Orthodox effort, overseen by an Executive Committee and aided by an 16-person Student Advisory Board. Its office is located in Boston, MA., where a full-time staff develops programs and activities.
The national OCF guides and supports local OCF chapters through communication with the larger Orthodox Community, its National Programs, and development of resources that Orthodox college students and those interested in Orthodoxy can utilize.
Activities sponsored by the national OCF
The national OCF is sponsoring College Conference 2005, with the theme of Abide in Me, and I in you, held Dec. 27-31, 2005, in two locations: Antiochian Village in Bolivar, PA.; and at St. Nicholas Ranch in Dunlap, CA.
The national OCF also sponsors Real Break, which provides college students with the most authentic experience possible within the framework of a short-term ministerial experience: a full Christian lifestyle which includes prayer, labor, service to others and fellowship within a Christian community. Participants of Real Break work in underprivileged communities helping in a variety of ways, from construction or renovation of affordable housing to programs assistance in orphanages and other social institutions. The experience has proven to be life-changing for many of the participants, most of whom report an increased involvement in and commitment to the life of the Church following their return from taking a Real Break.
