Hi everybody!

We at Kappa Kappa Gamma are so excited to be able to share our chapter with potential members this upcoming fall for Formal Recruitment 2005.  This year it will be held the week of August 13th to August 18th 2006.  You can get a more finalized version and other Panhellenic information from this website www.greek.iastate.edu or you can go to www.isugreeks.com.

Round descriptions:

14 Party Day is a "Go Greek" party. Potential new members will learn about the Panhellenic system at the Iowa State University and everything that Greek life has to offer.

During 9 Party Day, potential new members will view a skit at each house that expresses the sisterhood and ideals of sorority chapters at Iowa State University. Each skit gives the prospective new member a chance to see how the members of each chapter interact, their personality types, and what they value. We think that our skit really shows what our house is all about and how we act together. It is goofy and fun loving, while still showing how Kappa affects you even after graduation from college, many of our activities that we are involved in, and our sisterhood.

4 Party Day is a philanthropic round. Philanthropy is an important aspect of Panhellenic as well as Kappa Kappa Gamma. Potential new members will participate in charitable projects at each party they attend. Delta Omicron annually contributes to organizations such as the Children’s Miracle Network, ACCESS Women’s Shelter, and the Rose McGill Fund, which is our national philanthropy. Also on 4 Party Day, potential members get to tour each house. The layout of a house, sleeping arrangements, and living situation play a huge roll in the selection of a house. We at Kappa are very proud of our house. We love the amount of space that we have, that we are able to sleep in our rooms, our beautiful formal living room, and our wonderful new bathrooms!

Preference round is a formal ceremony where potential new members will gain a deeper knowledge of the uniqueness of each sorority chapter they visit. It is a chance for the potential new members to ask the members of the house why they chose the one they did and why it is meaningful to them.
