The fall climbing season is coming to a close(try not to get depressed, I'm considering starting a support group for those who can't deal). There are only a few weeks left before the Thanksgiving trip, which will probably be the last trip of the season. Sometime after that it will be ice climbing time, assuming weather and other things work out. Moving on... Pinto gave mondays seminar which was entitled Pinto's Tales of Disappointment, Failure, and Embarassment. If you weren't there you missed out, everyone present learned a little bit about the auspicious beginnings of the man they call Pinto. He took us from the early years in Backbone, to mountains, to ice, and back to rock. The talk was sprinkled with tales of dropping belay devices, suffering through cold, altitude sickness, and a general discussion on not dying. I am 75% sure that the next seminar will be given by Marcus and LeAnne on cooking outdoors. Its always a fun seminar, and if you havent yet met Marcus and LeAnne, you should. Trips: -Sams Throne, Arkansas Thanksgiving break (11/21-11/26) Sign up sheet has started! Cost has not yet been determined, but usually runs $40-50. *right now the Thanksgiving trip is the only one we have scheduled, but we're trying to get another trip going before then, so stay tuned for further info. See you all at the meeting or elsewhere. Oh yeah, stickers and patches are still in the works for those interested! Eric Lesch ISUMCC Secretary Climbers are not so strange...the rock talks, and we listen.
