Tonight we had our first club meeting for the semester. Andrea forgot the cookies that she promised, so it turned out Mary was the speaker of the meeting. We found out how dedicated she was to the club when she took over for Andrea and mentioned she would do anything for the club. Of course she revoked this comment soon after. Well onto the actual meeting, we have set up a general schedule for MCC events for the rest of the semester. This is the general outline to the events. This is not what is happening next week. Sunday- Leid Rec climbing from 8PM-? it just depends how long it goes Monday- We will be having meetings from 8PM-9PM Tuesday- BBQ when it gets warmer Wednesday- Walnut Creek climbing 6:30PMish-Whenever Also because of the holiday next week there will be a trip to the Brickyards this weekend to go ice climbing. If you are interested contact Ryan McNair at mcnairr@iastate.edu. Because of the holiday on Monday there will be no meeting next week but there will be one two weeks from now. We have two spots open for people to run that meeting also. We have the social chair and SCC chair exec positions opening up. The social chair sets up fun events for the clubs like the BBQs or anything else they can think of. The SCC chair attends the SCC meeting twice a month for an hour on Tuesdays. This is the meeting that the sports club council members from all the clubs get together and beg for money. What is really awesome about this is you can vote yay for giving money to cool clubs and nay for the clubs you don't like. If interested in either position show up for the meeting two weeks from now and be prepared to give a 10 sec presentation about why you want the position and why you would rock. Both positions give you the incredibly corrupting power of being a voting member of the climbing club exec. Lastly and actually the least of our worries at the moment the Spring Break trip is coming up a few months from now. Ryan McNair told us that it will probably be a tour of the west ending up in Joshua Tree which is somewhere near LA California.
