Well, today was another of the super awesome yoga meetings! You may wonder why I named the minutes by the name that I did... Is there some kind of story behind it? Why yes, there is a great story behind it. A year ago when I was doing yoga on a bright and 90 degree day I was trying to be studly and try a yoga 2 class. After about 30 minutes I found myself doing an unknown crazy pose on the ground. I was way tired and in a position that even a dead person couldn't preform. I checked the clock and then my leg went numb and everything went black. I all of a sudden woke up and wondered where I was... I was in yoga! except still on the ground and in that same pose. I checked the clock and saw it was 5 minutes later. I also saw everyone else was standing up doing warrior 7 or 3, who knows! I jumped up and finished the class from there. I asked the instructer later if she saw me passed out. She said that she thought I had fallen asleep, and that I looked peaceful like that... I serously could not believe her that while I was looking like roadkill, I was looking peaceful. Well I learned my lesson that day about extremities going numb, and passing out the hard way. Sadly, I somehow managed to not pass out and entertain everyone today :( Now on to the short and sweet minutes! The execs are being forced by ice tools to write blurbs about what we do for our positions. These will sometime in the near future be popping up on the webpage. If anyone is interested in becoming an exec for the next semester and doesn't have a clue what position they may want... You can just read that blurb. Oh yeah, the easiest way to reach the webpage is either to search mountaineering or go to this URL http://www.stuorg.iastate.edu/mcc/. I expect Mary to have 5 words for her blurb, and Ryan McNair to have about 5 pages single spaced in 10 font (Times New Roman, of course!). Next week there is going to be another seminar at Gilman in the same room same time! It will be hosted by Ryan McNair and Mary Dobling. This seminar is all about avalanche training! If you want to cause... err learn how to avoid avalanches this should be a good one! Last and probably least we are planning on starting up BBQs in the near future. If you are in to eating cooked, salty, and meaty food products these are tons of fun (veggie imitation meat products are allowed space also)! There is usually slack lining and lots of other interesting things going on. If you are planning on going when they start, e-mail Brandon Roth with the nights of the week that work the best for you! Well, it has been a week of career fairs, classes, and yoga! Hopefully this week treats you all very well, and see you all next week! Sincerely, Tim Anderson (Secretary)
