Club climbing time at Lied is Sunday nights from 7-9 pm and the barbeque will be every Thursday, including the upcoming one, at Brookside park from 6-7ish. Remember BYOM (Bring Your Own Meat)! If you aren't currently a member, join! You get loads of sweet stuff like discounts at JAX and Wall-Nut Creek plus the ability to borrow gear, not to mention all the awesome people you'll meet. It's a pretty sweet deal and if you aren't so sure about it come climb with us at one of our scheduled events or meetings! We'll get you started. Camp Cooking Tonight we had fun playing with fire! Using Whisper Lights and Simmer Lights, Brandon showed the group how to make tasty cinnamon rolls and pizza. We also answered the ultimate back country cooking question. How to carry butter. Butter can sit out for prolonged periods of time and if you pack it in a zip lock bag or purchase a butter carrier from your preferred camping store your butter will last multiple days trips. Also, plan out your meals and carry your rations in bulk zip lock bags. Wall-Nut Creek Wednesday, August 29 7:00 - 9:00 pm Come climb with the club this Wednesday at Wall-Nut Creek from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Paid Club members get in for $3.00! Directions from the ISU Campus: Travel East on Lincoln Way, turn left at the intersection of Elwood Drive and Lincoln Way, travel south on Elwood Drive/530 Ave for roughly 6 miles (road will turn into gravel), turn right at Wall-Nut Creek (it is an old barn with a green light on it, a white house sits adjacent to it). If you hit pavement (east and west E57) again, you've gone too far. ClubFest Thursday, August 30 11:00 am - 4:00 pm Come by our table at ClubFest, this Thursday, August 30 from 11-4 pm.
