And remember if you want off this list for next year, send the subject "unsubscribe" to mountaineers-request@iastate.edu Meeting Minutes April 21, 2008 *Officer Elections* - President: Bob Gippel - Secretary: Rebecca Burch - Vice President: Josh Lau - Treasurer: Josh Lau - SCC Rep: - Gear Manager: Rebecca Burch - Trip Coordinator: Adam Schilling And Jason is NOT bitter. *Leadership* - Benefits - Weekend trips trans and camping fees paid by club - 4+ days trips, 75% paid by club - Job Requirements - Current dues - 2 prior trips - Pass leadership test: set top-ropes, rappeling, teaching, knot tying - Approval of President and Advisor *Equipment from Backcountry.com* - We get a discount (average around 25% but varies by item) from orders for being in MCC - If you want something, we NEED by THIS FRIDAY... - Item #s - Sizes - Colors - Money *Devil's Lake Trip* - We NEED to know who is driving up with us in the official vehicle - We NEED to know who is camping with us, riding with us or not - If we do not have your name, it will be your responsibility to make sure you have a ride and place to camp. You can fill in any extra spaces, but we can't make any promises if we don't have a count - Bring climbing shoes and harness. If you need anything, let us know so you can check out equipment before Friday. - Make sure you have your trip money, food, and any other stuff you need for the weekend It's been a great year! This weekend's trip is going to be an awesome time, hopefully we'll get a few more trip leaders trained. We hope to see you all this Thursday, our first barbecue of the year at Brookside Park, 6:30pm.
