Ice Fishing Clinic
Story County Conservation and several other counties put on a great ice fishing clinic! Everyone who went got a few new ideas, such as how to make a homemade life buoy, as well as a few freebies and some delicious hot cocoa! We had a lot of fun learning more about ice fishing. Photos are posted!
ICEC Conference
Amy Buckendahl had the opportunity to attend the 2008 ICEC Conference. She got to speak with Rich Leopold, the director of the Iowa DNR; Terry VanDeWalle who is currently working with the Iowa DNR on the Massasauga snake populations; and Mike Havlik, aka the Owl Guy. The ICEC Conference is a great opportunity to meet fellow interpreters and get some new ideas, so think about attending next year!
