About Orchesis 2

Orchesis is a Greek word meaning "dance". We are Orchesis II, a non-audition dance group at Iowa State.
Our members from all sorts of majors, anywhere from Business to History, and Theatre to Engineering.
We are a easy going bunch and we love to meet new people. Although we are a dance group, many of our members
haven't been dancing long! We welcome all levels and styles of dancers, from beginners to advanced students,
we have them all. As far as actual styles, we do, "anything under the sun!" We have performed hip hop, tap,
jazz, modern, even bharatanatyam, an Indian form of dance. We always welcome new ideas and would
love to have you join us!
