· Pick and choose who you tell.
· Deal with people who know you and your character.
· Do not expect a good reaction from everyone.
· Family is usually more difficult.
· If you are items like a pentacle, do not expect everyone to know what it is about.
· If you decide to outwardly express who you are, be ready to be accosted by idiots, vandals, and even fellow pagans.
· When dealing with these people, handle the situation in a non-violent manner.
· Know or find out what you believe. Otherwise, you won't be able to answer questions.
· Have references available (books, articles, websites) that you have previewed, for individuals who want to learn and understand more.
· Be prepared to deal with people demanding proof and/or laughing at you.
· Do not evangelize.
· Do not be mean or harsh.
· You do not have to tell everyone. Sometimes it is best to wait until people ask.
· Attending other faith services with family is still ok, just be respectful.
· Find common ground with whom you are talking to.
