Barker House is a representative dorm floor with much to lose if the proposed 75-25 ratio policy is carried out in the 2003-2004 school year. The house consists of the bottom two floors of Lyon Hall and is co-ed and dry (no alcohol is allowed). The maximum house occupancy is 57. Currently, 47 students live on Barker; only 11 are freshmen. The family-feel nature and the many floor traditions are reasons we have a higher returning resident rate than other floors on campus. The Barker House website highlights many of their social activities, their campus involvement, and the many Barker traditions.
