Annual Welcome Picnic:
When: September 17, 2011 at 5 p.m.
Where: Maple Shelter at Brookside Park (1325 6th Street). Easily accessed by CyRide.
Food:
RSSA will provide: Grilled meat (chicken, pork), Drinks (water, tea), Fruits
If you choose to bring food to this event, we ask you to

and specify what you will bring. There are 2 options for
food. Select only one:
a. bring a homemade dish in 5 portion size/person
(please bring all necessary utensils for your dish (knife,
tongs, slotted spoon, etc.)
b. buy and bring 1 item/person from our suggested list

Please note that admission rate includes:
1. food option (described in the invitation) and
2. admission fee (buy annual RSSA membership card or pay one-time admission to this event only)
Membership Punch Card:
If you select to purchase the annual RSSA membership, you will receive your card (with your name and expiration date on it) at the picnic. This card will allow you to attend other RSSA events during 2011-2012 academic year at no cost or at discounted price. Each RSSA event will include price for members (most of the times free or sufficiently lower than for non-members) and price for non-members. Additional benefit: your membership card is a punch card. At each RSSA event we will punch your card. When all your five holes are punched, we will exchange your card for a new one. At the end of each semester we will do a drawing of all collected punched cards. So if you attend five RSSA events by the end of either semester, you can win a gift card or cool prizes.
One-Time Admission:
If you would like to attend this picnic without committing yourself to attend any future RSSA events, or you are not sure if this club is for you, or if you just want to attend this event, you can pay $3/person.
Feel free to invite your family and friends to this picnic. We hope to see many new faces and people from outside Ames. I hear we have several new Russian-speaking students this year and some people who have not attended our picnics in the past. This event will be great to meet new people and see our old friends again. RSSA officers are working hard to make this event a very special one for everyone and we hope you'll come and enjoy it.
