Daawat - Dinner for Development 2008
Sankalp raised approx $6427.42 through tickets, donations, silent auction and T shirt sales. We are thankful to all our patrons for supporting Sankalp's initiatives to identify and nurture grass-root developmental projects that are of a worthy cause.
We had a rich spread of Indian cuisine from the four corners of India to celebrate its diversity. And being true to the tradition of daawat, we had put together a cultural ensemble of music, dance and drama to complement the dinner. True to its meaning, daawat was a meal that was shared and enjoyed with family, friends, and well-wishers.
