This year the Sigma Alpha Formal Committee planned and organized “An Amazing Night.”  Committee members included Kerrie Utley (chair), Jennifer Kerkman, Amanda Glade, and Jenae Westmeyer.  The event took place on Saturday, February 21, 2004 at the Quality Inn & Suites.  Approximately forty members and guests attended.  The night began with dinner and senior speaker Alicia Martin.  Awards were given for Outstanding Membership Candidate to Jaimee Hoskins; Outstanding Member to Brenda Meyers; Outstanding Senior to Alicia Martin; and Outstanding Advisors to Dr. Kliebenstein, Dr. Lonergan, and Dr. Laura Grapes.  The chapter also recognized its graduation seniors: Nancy Bohl, Alicia Martin, Michelle Flander, Kerrie Utley, Laura Dierickx, Nicole Wilson, Brenda Meyers, and Rhonda Fatchett.  This year the chapter decided to present seven “Special Awards” to deserving Sigma Alpha Sisters. Winners were determined by the chapter sisters and were presented by the advisors the night of the banquet. Winners were as followed: Lisa Wickersham, Most Spunk; Abby Lauenroth, Best Smile; Angie Veldhuizen, Best Hair; Stacy Steinlage, Outstanding Little Sis; Brenda Meyers, Outstanding Big Sis; Rhonda Fatchett, Funniest Laugh; Nancy Bohl, Most Encouraging; Kally Boehmer, Best Smile.  President Brenda Meyers presented a year in review slide show.  The banquet closed with the ‘Circle Song’ before the girls took the floor for a swingin’ dance!
