Throughout the year there are many activities planned to build sisterhood. These activities allow sisters to bond as well as have fun! The social committee plans numerous social events during the school year. Many of the activities planned include: BBQs, movie night, potlucks, cookie decorating night, “House” party, camp outing, secret sister exchange, and Christmas Party. Many of the events are hosted by fellow sisters and as well as advisors.
Cookie Decorating
In March, there was a cookie decorating night hosted at Brenda Meyers’s apartment. Sisters enjoyed decorating St. Patrick’s Day sugar cookies with emerald and maize sprinkles and frosting!

2004 “House” Party
April brought great weather and plans for the annual house party. Angie Veldhuizen hosted the event at her apartment, which brought the Delta Chapter members together for subs, crafts, and photos. Sisters enjoyed sandwiches donated by Subway and homemade desserts. Each sister received a new pink or blue Sigma Alpha t-shirt. With some help from Abby Lauenroth, everyone made beaded bracelets using Sigma Alpha colors.

Sigma Alpha Camping Trip 2004
In September Sigma Alpha held their first outdoor camp outing to get to know fellow sisters better as well as the new MC class. Jaimee Hoskins and family hosted everyone at her home in Jefferson. Sisters and MCs worked together pitching their tents as well starting a camp fire to roast hotdogs and marshmallows. The evening concluding with telling stories around the camp fire and enjoying each other’s company. A great time was had by all!

Christmas Party
In December the sisters held their annual Christmas Party at the home of advisor, Dr. Jim Kliebenstein and his wife, Joyce. Sisters enjoyed a potluck together, along with the Secret Sister revelation, and a snowman craft. The food was delicious and everyone had an enjoyable time!
