The weather is getting colder, which unfortunately means the end of the fall tennis season will soon be upon us. This time of the year practice is often cancelled because it is too cold, so be sure to get your tennis fix in before the season is over (Tim). Hope to see you all there and dress warm!
The weekend of October 4th-6th, members of the club competed in the Gopher Invitational at the University of Minnesota. Despite bad weather, rain delays, and scheduling frustrations our team had fun playing against teams from UW Madison, SDSU, Wisconsin River Falls, and the University of Minnesota. Overall it was a good weekend in Minneapolis and we’re looking forward to more tournaments to come.
On October 19th, members of the club travelled to Waterloo, Iowa to compete in the 2013 Iowa Invite. After competing against two UNI teams and a team from Iowa, Iowa State finished second. The team lost a close matchup against a very tough University of Iowa team. Congratulations to all the players.
