Beta Deuteron Charge History The Colonials of Theta Delta Chi was formed in 1908. The
Beta Deuteron Charge of Theta Delta Chi was chartered in 1919, ten years after
the colonial period. The Theta Delts take pride in occupying the oldest
structure for fraternal living at Our first housemother was Mrs. Stange,
she was here from 1939 to 1940. In 1941, a housemother was required to be living in all Greek houses by the university. In 1943, the college leased fraternity houses due to World War II, including Beta Deut. The college used women’s dorm as army barracks, and moved the women to occupy the fraternity houses. The men came back to occupy the house in 1945. Mrs. Baker was our housemother and lived here from 1945-1947. Mrs. Jane Moseley became our housemother in 1947 until 1967. Mrs. Laura MacDonald (Mom Mac) was our housemother for 18
years, from 1967-1985. The renovation of the house in 1965 expanded the original
structure to include our current dining room, kitchen, and the cold air dorms;
the second floor verandah was torn down during these renovations. Our current Housemother is Mrs. Roberta North (Mom Bert) and
has been our best friend since 1985. Today at Beta Deuteron Charge of Theta Delta Chi The men of Theta Delta Chi have gained respect from the campus. We traditionally placed in Homecoming, VEISHEA and Greek Week, as well as Theta Delta Chi International. Our recent recognitions: Theta Delta Chi International President’s Cup 2001
