Moving In: You can move in at any time during the semester. It is easy for you to move in whether you are moving in from the dorms, transferring from another school, or coming from home. But, as every member has said, why wait? Those who wait tend to regret not moving in sooner. The sooner you move in, the better. You will be moved into a room with an older member of the house to help you get through the ropes of day-to-day living in the house. He will also be an academic gide to assist you and make certain you live up to your academic potential. Fees: It costs $2850 a semester to live in the house. That pays for rent, utilities, laundry, meals, social dues and the salaries of our housemother and our cook. There is a one-time activation fee to the International Grand Lodge of $375. That beats a semester fee of $75 or an annual fee of $100, as an undergraduate, as other houses might charge. University Housing Contracts: Don't let it deter you. Breaking them is easy. The university will charge "so much" for however long you lived there and they will assign a penalty for breaking the contract. That is standard. It appears as a great deterrent, but there is an easy way around that. Example, if you paid $336 to the university, your new Theta Delta Chi house bill is $2514.
Comparing House cost to Dorm Cost:
Richardson Court Dorm Cost
Maple Hall Cost
Eaton Hall (Suites) Cost
The cost of living at Theta Delta Chi is more economical than the dorms. By living in the house, one could SAVE!! between $1000-$1500 a semester.
