About TSA
Mission Statement
Promote the advancement of transportation through association with academia, industry, and fellow students. Introduce students to transportation topics through TSA sponsored mediums, nurture the development of professional spirit, and encourage fellowship among association members
Background
The Iowa State University Transportation Student Association was founded during the summer of 1997 by students and is run by students. TSA strives to provide its members with real world information on transportation topics. TSA is multi-disciplinary and encompasses students from engineering, planning, and transportation & logistics.
Structure
TSA serves as the parent organization for the student chapters of the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS/A) and the Institute for Transportation Engineers (ITE). The organization is structured with a President who serves as the Vice President of each national chapter and two Vice presidents who serve as Presidents to each national chapter. The other members of cabinet (treasurer, secretary, social chair, and E-council rep) serve for both chapters.
More..
TSA is continually building upon its success from previous years. Speaker presentations concerning a wide variety of transportation-related topics will continue, as will social events. TSA members look forward to attending national conferences to gain more insight about relevant issues in the transportation field.
