Food at First:
When: Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays
3:30-5:30pm = preparation
5:15-6:45pm = serve + clean-up
Saturdays
10-11:30am = preparation
11:15am-12:45pm = serve + clean-up
Where: At the First United Methodist Church (however, meal program is non-denominational!)
What: prepare, serve, and clean up free meals.

-SVS will be going as a group to Food at First on Saturday, April 5th from
10am-12:30pm. contact Cindy(synthiar@iastate.edu), carpools are available.

Elementary Mentoring Project
When:    Every Thursday 3:15-4:30pm
What:     Volunteers play games both indoors and outdoors with elementary age kids.  It’s tons of fun and it really means a lot to the kids.

-Veishea Service Day will be from 12pm-2pm on March 29th and we will be workingon cleaning up around Maple Willow Larch. All volunteers should meet at Reiman Gardens to pick up their supplies at 11:15am. Contact is Amanda Sprau(asprau@iastate.edu)

-Read to Rover Volunteer as a reading session monitor during the Ames Public Library's spring Read To Rover program. Monitors assist service dogs and their handlers during individual reading sessions with our young readers. The spring program runs weekly (Wednesdays) from April 2nd - May 7th. Contact is Cindy (synthiar@iastate.edu)

-Toddler Fest is Sunday April 13th 1:30-4:30pm. Volunteers assist with family oriented activities at the Ames Public Library. Contact is Cindy (synthiar@iastate.edu)

-Ames Public Library Book Sale. SVS will be helping out from 4:30-7:30pm on April 6th. Contact is Cindy (synthiar@iastate.edu) and carpools are available.

-Story County Medical Center, dates are April 7th and 21st. Contact is Cindy (synthiar@iastate.edu), carpools available.

-Keep Iowa State Beautiful has now started. Iowa State University Adopt Campus Volunteer projects involve working in outdoor
working conditions. Contact is Amanda Sprau and Damaris. (asprau@iastate.edu, dllanas@iastate.edu)

English Conversation Program
When: Native and non-native English speakers meet once a week for discussions so that non-native English speaking students will become more comfortable speaking English, while native English speakers will have a chance to learn about a different culture. Currently the program is short native English speaking volunteers
Where: Memorial Lutheran Church Cardinal Room
What: Thursdays, 6 - 7 PM
