Ashleigh began
skating at the age of 3. She participated in figure skating until her
sophomore year in high school. She joined the Barrington Fillies
hockey team, a U19 travel team. Her team captured the Illinois state
championship in 2005. Ashleigh is proud to be a Cyclone and looks
forward to playing four years of college hockey for ISU. |

will be graduating from ISU in December. I began playing hockey my
freshman year of high school and played for the Faribault Falcons for
four years. I will miss playing for the Cyclones after graduation.

Hockey Experience: She played for the Old Capitol Youth Hockey
Association from grades 3-12.
Some of her interests include listening to music
and watching movies, spending time with friends and her family, which

Major: Animal Ecology
Hockey Experience: Erin began playing hockey at the age of 9 on
her local park board team. She eventually graduated to playing with
various association teams such as the South Tigers and the Washburn
Millers. In the 10th grade, she decided to represent her city by
playing on the girls high school team The Minneapolis Novas. Erin
continues to play in her 11th year of the great sport for the Cyclones
and loves every minute of it! |

Hockey Experience:
At the ripe old age of 11, I
began my hockey career. It was when girls’ hockey was coming about and
I wanted to be part of the action. I played squirts for a year,
peewees for a year and varsity for 5 years. I love the team aspect of
the sport, not only on the ice but off as well. With our Cyclone team,
the locker room talk is always entertaining. Aside from hockey, I stay
busy in my studio doing architecture projects, hanging out at the
Tri-Delta house, snowboarding and playing guitar.

I'm from
Nebraska and started playing pond hockey with my brother and our
friends. When I entered college I began playing organized hockey as a
freshman. Later on in college I helped assist with the coaching. I
also played for a women's travel team from Omaha.. I'm
currently completing my senior year in the College of Veterinary
Medicine at ISU and will graduate in 2007 to pursue a career as an
equine veterinarian. |

I have earned a
coaching certification. I would like to get a job teaching English
somewhere that has a lot of opportunity in hockey. I've played hockey
since I was four years old in Minnesota. I grew up playing hockey with
my dad and brother. This is my fourth season with the Cyclones and I'm
so excited to be a part of this amazing team. Thanks to our fans for

Catherine Swoboda #16

Major: Agronomy
Hockey Experience: Catherine grew up playing in the Des Moines
Youth Hockey League, and also for the Des Moines Storm during high
school. This is her third year playing for the Cyclones and she loves
it.
Swoboda hopes to attend graduate school in Agronomy after completing
her undergraduate courses. Other than hockey, she enjoys exercising,
music, art and travel. She is a happy worker in the Soybean Extension
Lab at ISU. Above all,
she loves to spend time with her friends and especially her family
which includes Mama Swo, Papa Swo and big brother Frank.

I began playing
hockey my sophomore year in high school after playing in the pep band
and deciding I would rather be on the ice. I got my first pair of
hockey skates one month before tryouts. Pink is my favorite color,
I love Caribou Coffee and playing hockey on our Cyclone team is a ton
of fun. |

seven years ago...you do the math! She used to have a hot pink stick

I have been
playing hockey since I was 6 years old. I played Eagan Youth League
hockey until 5th grade, then played Eastview Youth Hockey through 8th
grade. Then I went on to play on the Eastview varsity team all four
years of high school. I love the game. It's fast, exciting and there's
more strategy and teamwork involved than many people realize. |

Hockey Experience:
Originally from Mason City I’ve played hockey since I was 5 years old. I
played boys hockey in youth league through seventh grade. For eighth
grade I attended Shattuck St. Mary’s in Faribault, Minnesota. At
Shattuck I had the opportunity to play in various places across the
U.S. and Canada and even got to travel to Sweden. I continued playing
at Shattuck until the end of my sophomore year in high school. I chose
to return home to Mason City to finish school, where I played on the
boys’ high school hockey team. I love playing for ISU. Go Cyclones!

Major: Exercise Sport Science
Hockey Experience: This is the fourth year she has played for
the Cyclones and her 6th year playing hockey.
Mallory is the proud daughter of the best cook in
the greater Chicago area, if not the entire Midwest. Mallory is also an avid runner, enjoys music, and
owns the cutest bulldog in the world. She Said "The Iowa State Women's
Team has been a great experience for me and I will miss it greatly
when I graduate in December 2006"

Christine Skoglund #28
Hometown: Davenport, IA
Major: Animal Science - Pre-vet
Hockey Experience: Played for the Quad City Her-icanes, which
became the Blueliners from 1996 to 2002 and has just picked back up
the sport for the Cyclones in 2006.
Christy hopes to attend the College of
Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State after completing her Bachelor's
degree. Skoglund is also involved in Destination Iowa State (team
leader), Lyrica Women's Choir (treasurer), and Pre-vet Club.
Skoglund's family includes her mother, father, little brother, and
cat. #28 would like to say, "GO CYCLONES!"

Major: Mechanical Engineering
Hockey Experience: Katie has been playing hockey for 11 years
and has been holding strong between the pipes for 7. This is her first
year playing with the Cyclones. Katie continues the Faulds' hockey
legacy at ISU, following her sister who played for the Cyclones as
well.
Katie enjoys listening to music, watching movies, traveling, and
hanging out with her friends. She can frequently be found jamming out
to her iPod. Katie is working on a minor in German, and hopes to work
in Germany someday.
