About YMCA

Founded in 1889, the Ames-ISU Student YMCA is    the oldest continually operating student organization at Iowa State University. The YMCA has had several locations on campus, with Alumni Hall being the first permanent residence

In 1993, the Ames-ISU Student YMCA moved to our current location in the Lab of Mechanics, room 109.   Our goal is to develop leadership through programs and work experiences that are consistent with our    core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility to empower students and help them to focus on their career goals while giving back to the school and the community.
