The Equestrian Club - Western Team focuses on promoting the horse industry and competing within the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association as a Western Team. The purpose of this organization is: a. To promote the sport and industry associated with competitive western riding. b. To offer social activities to individuals interested in horses.

Membership Qualifications Anyone who has an interest in horses and competing in Western Horsemanship, Ranch Riding, or Reining can join our IHSA Team. Any experience level is welcome and encouraged, from riders with minimal experience to World Champions. All that matters is that you have a passion for horses.
Membership Restrictions Tryouts are held at the beginning of the show season to determine show team roster.
Elections/Selection Elections are held at the end of fall semester, with the officer turnover occurring at the end of spring semester.
Meetings Second Tuesday of the month at 7 PM.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

We hold meetings on the second Tuesday of the month to go over current events within the club and team. If you would like more information message the club president to join our email list.

Description of Special Events

IHSA Horse Shows: We travel and compete at schools within Zone 7 Region 5.
