Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

Monthly club meetings are used to discuss club business, give reports, and often hear from an industry professional. Committee meetings take place immediately before main meetings each month and as necessary.

Description of Special Events

The Dairy Science Club mixes and sells our own homemade ice cream each week. We mix a wide variety of flavors in the ISU Meats Laboratory, and sell what we produce each Wednesday from 11 to 1 outside Lush Auditorium in Kildee Hall for just $2 per cup! This is one of the club's largest fundraisers.
Each year during the Iowa State Fair, the club hosts our annual "I Milked a Cow" Exhibit as our other main fundraiser. For $3, fair-goers can try their hand at milking one of our Jersey cows. Club members run the entire exhibit themselves, from educating the public to cow care.
