Description

The Arab Students Association is found to represent the Arab community in Ames and to help expand the knowledge of who Arabs are, what their culture is like. We aim to spread awareness about Arab's culture, language and contemporary issues in the Middle East and North Africa.

Allowed Members ISU Students
Allowed Officers Officers should be members at ASA before the elections.
Membership Qualifications Officers should have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and be enrolled at least halftime. Prior experience and knowledge about Arabic culture and language is a plus.
Membership Restrictions There are no restrictions for joining ASA. Being interested in Arabic culture and language is preferred.
Elections/Selection Elections take place at the end of Spring semester
Meetings We meet every other Wednesday at 6 pm. Email us for the location

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

The ASA activities will range from cultural and diversity to special activities that will bring together Arab students and everyone interested in knowing about the Arabic culture. Furthermore our activities will spread cultural awareness and diversity among individuals, groups and organizations. Students may get involved with ASA through our numerous activities. If students are interested in getting involved in someway with the ASA, they may reach us through our Facebook page and our contact list. Credible suggestions and recommendations for ASA are more than welcomed and we highly encourage it.
