AWM is organized and will be operated for educational and scientific purposes to promote the following:
1. an increased knowledge of and greater interest in the mathematical sciences, including pure and applied mathematics, statistics, and their applications;
2. greater understanding of the contributions of women in the mathematical sciences; and
3. mentoring and encouraging women and girls as they prepare for careers in the mathematical sciences.
This organization has no affiliations.
Constitution / Tier
||Any registered student in good standing
||President, Vice President/Treasurer, Secretary, Committee Chairs
||Open to all registered students in good standing. To be a voting member, you must register as an AWM member on the student organization website, register as an AWM member with the international AWM website, and attend at least one event.
||Elections occur each January to choose the executive committee, which serves for one year (January-January).
||The executive committee meets biweekly. General meetings occur approximately once per month and include fun events (movies, craft nights, etc.), talks and discussions, service events, and outreach events.
