Mana Telugu Association (MAATA) is a non-profit organization at Iowa State University. The vision of MAATA is to introduce Telugu Culture (dating back to 6th century) to the diverse Iowa State University community. Telugu is a language spoken in the southern part of India primarily in the twin states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with a rich cultural history. We celebrate many festivals glorifying Telugu Culture like Sankranti, Ugadi etc. Furthermore, we have many events to engage and connect all the Telugu people on campus. This is a great platform for people from other states and other countries to learn about the rich Telugu culture.
