Description
The purpose of Sports Media Club is to provide a group where students interested in sports media can connect, interact with alumni, and build community. The meetings are designed to fill a number of functions including: providing a way for students and staff to get to know one another, to become acquainted with the program, to develop professional skills and acquaintances, and learn more about the opportunities in the sports media industry and related fields. The Sports Media Club will abide by Iowa State University rules and regulations along with State and Federal laws.

Elections will be held once a year during the fall semester. |
| Meetings |
Meetings will be held on a weekly basis. As of right now, the meetings are on Tuesday nights. |
Description of Regular Meetings/Activities
| Meetings: We plan on meeting on a weekly basis, and the day we meet would be set before the semester. The day we will meet will be based on our officers availability.
Activities: We are planning on having social events at Iowa State games. This would be a great time to connect with people within the club. |
Description of Special Events
| Site visits: We would like to have at least one site visits per semester. This past semester (Fall 2021), we went to the Iowa Cubs and the Iowa Wild for site visits. At those visits we got a behind the scenes look at different sports media jobs at both organizations. |
