Description

The College of Agriculture & Life Sciences Student Council serves as a unifying body among the students of the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences and the Senior Administration of the College. The Council is composed of representatives from 35 agriculture and life science related member organizations, and meets every other Wednesday evening during the school year in the Advanced Teaching and Research Building. The Council hosts annual events such as National Ag Day, New Student BBQ, and CALS Week.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

CALS Student Council meets biweekly to conduct business for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences students and organizations. Each club in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences has one or two representatives to vote on behalf of their student organization.

Description of Special Events

CALS Week: Each fall, CALS Council puts on a week long celebration of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences to show appreciation for our organizations and stakeholders, and educate students about the role the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences plays on campus. It includes meals on campus, guest speakers, games, and other activities.
New Student BBQ: At the beginning of every fall semester, CALS Council hosts a barbecue to welcome new students into the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
National Ag Day Celebration: Each spring, CALS Council hosts a meal for CALS students to enjoy in celebration of National Ag Day.
