Alpha Lambda Delta is a nation wide honor society that celebrates first year success here at Iowa State University. Alpha Lambda Delta’s mission is to encourage superior academic achievement, promote intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning, and help students recognize and develop meaningful goals for their role in society. Iowa State's Chapter of ALD provides campus and national leadership opportunities for sophomore students to get involved on campus and continue to be a part of an academically professional organization until they graduate.

Membership Qualifications |
Must meet the following requirement: 3.5+ GPA your first term with full-time enrollment at Iowa State University |
Membership Restrictions |
Membership is open to Iowa State freshman or sophomores earning a 3.5 GPA or higher during at least one semester of their freshman year. Eligible students will be sent an invitation to join in the semester following their achievement of the qualifications. |
Elections/Selection |
Election of officers will take place in the spring, shortly following induction. |
Meetings |
General meetings are held monthly for all members and bimonthly for officers. |
Description of Regular Meetings/Activities
We meet the second Monday of every month to discuss upcoming events. |
Description of Special Events
The annual induction ceremony is in April and there are charity events each month. |
