BCBGSO will provide opportunities for social interactions between graduate students and faculties in the Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (BCB) program in order to increase interdepartmental communication within the BCB program and provide a forum for exchange of scientific information. BCBGSO will also provide opportunities for graduate students in the BCB program to engage in research, education, and career-development activities.

Elections/Selection Election for President are held at the end of the Spring semester. All other officers are selected by the newly elected President.
Meetings Student Body Meetings are held monthly. Meeting announcement will be sent through e-mail.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

BCBGSO will host several social events and activities throughout the year that will be announced via email. Be on the lookout for announcements!

Description of Special Events

BCBGSO Workshops: Open to all graduate students. Topics may include basic UNIX, advanced UNIX, and Python coding.
BCBGSO Symposium: Open to BCB students to reinforce BCB coherence and professional development.
