Iowa State University's Family Weekend is the premier event for families of Iowa State University students. Family Weekend celebrates the Cyclone Family through events and activities spanning one weekend in the fall. The Family Weekend committee plans and promotes this event and chooses the Family of the Year.

Those interested in joining Family Weekend should be highly organized and driven. Family Weekend does a lot of events that take a lot of organizing and scheduling so being an effective communicator is key. |

Description of Special Events
| Family Weekend is a special weekend that the University dedicates to the families of students. Families are encouraged to come down and see what Iowa State has to offer. The CFW Committee plans all of the events scheduled and is responsible for ensuring a fun, entertaining and smooth Family Weekend. |
