The ISU Golf Club is the official student organization of Iowa State University for non-varsity student golfers. Our organization is comprised of two membership types: competitive and recreational. Our competitive players compete in approximately two to five weekend tournaments each semester through the National Collegiate Club Golf Association (NCCGA). We field two teams of eight golfers and fill a 24 person each semester. It is recommended that you have a handicap of 15 or lower to tryout for the competitive team. Competitive membership includes a spot on the roster with the potential to participate in tournaments, club tee-shirt, an invitation to participate in our weekly golf socials and more
Our recreational members participate in friendly golf socials at Veenker Memorial Golf Course each Thursday at 4 p.m. weather permitting. We switch-up the format of play each week (i.e.: four person scramble, two person best ball, stroke play, alternate shot, etc.) with the winner receiving a small prize. Golfers of all skill levels are encouraged to become recreational members of the ISU Golf Club. Recreational membership includes a club tee-shirt and an invitation to participate in our weekly golf socials.
